Olean-- Ann L. Hogand of 1610 North Union Street, passed away Friday (March 11, 2011) at the Olean General Hospital after a brief illness.
Born March 13, 1949 in Escanaba Michigan, she was the daughter of Ervin and Alma Haring Metever. On August 28,1971 in Escanaba, she married Robert Hogand who survives.
Mrs. Hogand had been employed for many years at the Olean Times Herald as a newspaper carrier. In her free time she enjoy knitting, crocheting canvasing, enjoying the outdoors and riding her bicycle.
Surviving besides her husband are 2 sons Dennie R. Hogand of Olean, Robert H. Hogand of Olean; many brother and sister in laws; and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by one brother.
At Mrs. Hogand's request there will be no services. Memorials if desired may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Casey, Halwig and Hartle Funeral Home, 3128 W. State Road, Olean.
