Olean-- Donald "Jack" Guay, of 147 North 8th Street, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday (February 23, 2011) at Millard Fillmore Gates Circle in Buffalo, after a brief illness.
Born March 15, 1958 in Nashua , NH, he was the son of Mickey and Barbara Goding Guay. On December 10, 1983 in Jamestown, he married Diane Smith, who survives.
Jack was employed as the manager of McDonalds in Cuba for many years. He enjoyed going to the casino and spending time with his family.
Surviving besides his wife, is his father Mickey Guay of Nashua, NH; 4 sons Donald J. (Laura) Guay Jr., of Lewis Run, PA, Todd (Kristy) Guay of Pittsburgh, PA, Stephen Guay of Olean, Shane Guay of Olean; 6 grandchildren Kayleigh, Madison, Autumn, Thomas, Ashton, Maddox; 6 brothers Harry Guay, Mike Guay, Rick Guay, Bobby Guay, Shawn Guay, Billy Ravellette; 5 sisters Kim Guay, Lori Guay, Sandy Ravellette, Norma Ravellette, June Ravellette; and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his mom and his foster parents Bill and Laura Ravellette; 1 brother Jeff Guay and 1 sister Eve Ravellette.
Friends will be received at the Casey, Halwig and Hartle Funeral Home Friday from 2-4 and 7-9pm. Funeral services will be held on Saturday (February 26, 2011) at 11 am at the funeral home. Rev. Mark Lata will officiate. Burial will be in St. Bonaventure Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
