Obituary of Jose Cruz

Jose A. "Joey" Cruz "Li'l Man" Allegany, NY Jose A. "Joey" Cruz, 1 ½, of 4115 S. Nine Mile Rd. Lot 34 died Tuesday (May 25, 2010) in his home. Jose was born in Olean, NY on November 20, 2008 and was the son of Lindsey Burlew Cruz and Jose A. Cruz, Sr. All of his family will remember him as a happy boy with a beautiful smile that can never be forgotten. His mom knows she had a little boy who will always be missed and in her heart, yet now has an angel who was her little miracle. Family members include his mother of Allegany; his father of Rochester; 1 sister Felisha R. E. Burlew and 1 brother Tevin R. Cruz, both at home; maternal grandfather Robert Burlew, Sr. of Allegany; maternal grandmother Debbie (Jeffrey Evans) Horner of Olean; maternal aunts and uncles Christopher (Tara Fuller) Horner, Robert (Carrie Zeigler) Burlew, Jr., Scott (Angela) Burlew, Bobbie Jo (James Hamilton) Coddington, Stacy (Devin Harrington) Kauhl, Ashley Burlew and Sarah Cutler; paternal uncles and aunt Jose Cruz, Tomas Cruz and Valerie Rodriguez and many cousins, great aunts and uncles. He was predeceased by his paternal grandparents Tomas and Josephina Cruz. Friends will be received at the Casey, Halwig & Hartle Funeral Home 3128 W. State Rd. Olean on Saturday (May 29, 2010) from 11:00am until 1:00pm at which time funeral services will be held. Pastor Joseph Smith of the Southside Union Chapel in Olean will officiate. Burial will be in Pleasant Valley Cemetery, Olean. Memorials may be made to the Salvation Army 310 E. State St. Olean, NY 14760.
