Obituary of Harold Shott

Wellsville-- Harold K. Shott, Sr., a two year resident of Highland Healthcare Center in Wellsville, and a former Olean resident, passed away Sunday (May 9, 2010) at Jones Memorial Hospital. Born March 29, 1928, in North Tonawanda, he was the son of Clarence and Clara Shott. On September 22, 1961, he married Audrey Long, who predeceased him in 1994. Mr. Shott was employed for 27 years at the former Boss-Linco company in Allegany as a truck driver. He later went on to work for and retired from St. Elizabeth's Mother House in Allegany. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing and snowmobiling. Surviving are 3 sons Harold Shott Jr., of Summerville S.C., Gary (Linda) Shott of Florida, Michael (Bonnie) Shott, of TN; 1 daughter Tina-Marie Holland of Olean; 12 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Besides his wife, he was predeceased by one sister and two brothers. Friends will be received at the Casey, Halwig and Hartle Funeral Home on Tuesday (May 11, 2010) from 11-1pm, at which time funeral services will begin. Rev. Frank Hayman, will officiate. Burial will be in Pleasant Valley Cemetery. Memorials if desired, may be made to the American Diabetes Association 315 Alberta Drive, Amherst, NY 14226.
