Robert A. Chandler
Olean – Robert A. Chandler of the Windfall Road died Sunday April 10, 2005 at the Olean General Hospital following an illness. Born in Olean on January 7, 1929 he was a son of Charles and Sophia Urban Chandler. In 1956 in Olean he married Sally Huldquist who survives. Mr. Chandler served in the United States Army during WWII as a guard in Germany. He was employed for Alcas Cutlery, I. W. Miller's and Liberty Dry Cleaners.
In addition to his wife he is survived by two sons Robert C. Chandler and Jeffrey A. Chandler, both of Olean; three grandchildren; a brother Richard Chandler of California. He was predeceased by a son Leroy Chandler.
Friends will be received at the Casey, Halwig & Hartle Funeral Home, 3128 West State Rd., Olean on Tuesday April 12, 2005 from 2-4 and 7-8 PM at which time funeral services will be conducted. Rev. Robert Goode will officiate. Burial and committal services will be held on Wednesday April 13, 2005 at 11:00 AM at Pleasant Valley Cemetery. Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
