Obituary of Linda L. Washington

Linda L. Washington Hinsdale – Linda L. Washington of Route 16 died Sunday April 10, 2005 at the Olean General Hospital following a lengthy illness. Born August 19, 1944 in Weatherford, TX she was a daughter of William L. and Helen Belle Egbert. At St. Mary Byzantine Church she married Joseph P. Washington who survives. Mrs. Washington had been employed at the Pines Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center and was later employed at the !ReHabilitation Center until 1988 at which time she retired due to disabilities. She loved reading. In addition to her husband of 28 years she is survived by four sons William D. (Linda) Kotula of Emporium, PA, John L. (Katie) Kotula of Oscoda, MI, Joseph P. Washington, Jr. of Hinsdale, NY and Andrew J. Washington of Olean; a daughter Christina D. (Richard) Jones of Olean; seventeen grandchildren; a brother Darrell (Maydell) Egbert of Floriene, LA; a sister Cynthia Gonzales of Jennings, LA; two nieces and two nephews. Friends will be received at the Casey, Halwig & Hartle Funeral Home, 3128 West State Rd., Olean on Wednesday April 13, 2005 from 7-9 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday April 14, 2005 at St. Helen's Church, Hinsdale at 10:00 AM. Fr. Barry Allaire, pastor will be celebrant. Burial and committal services will follow at St. Bonaventure Cemetery, Allegany, NY. Memorials may be made to the Washington family or to the Hinsdale Fire Department.
