Lillian I. Willsey
Allegany – Lillian I. Willsey, formerly of Salamanca and a current resident of the Five Mile Road, Allegany died Thursday April 14, 2005 at her home. Born in Salamanca on September 6, 1925 she was a daughter of Frank and Bessie Milks Kuhaneck. On January 15, 1952 she married Kenneth P. Willsey who predeceased her in June of 1985.
Mrs. Willsey was employed with Acme Electric for 24 years prior to her retirement. She was a member of the 60 plus club of Allegany and AARP, chapter 844. She enjoyed flowers and houseplants, decorating and traveling, especially bus trips.
She is survived by several nieces and nephews including George J. Smith of AL, Shirley A. (Claude) Case of Killbuck, Rae L. (John) Earley, Marsha L. Mick of WV, Gail M. (Lyn) Hoard of CA,, Pamela K. (Larry) Sturdevant of Salamanca, George Kuhaneck, Gordon L. (Sylvia) Schultz, Jr. of Salamanca, Paula E. (Terry) Lacroix of Salamanca and Marsha (Tony) Nlrton of VA and a very special friend Thomasina Washburn of Allegany. In addiditon to her husband she was predeceased by sisters Emogene Coudrey, Vivian Kohut and Elizabeth Schultz; brothers George Smith, Chester Hulbert, William Kuhaneck, Edward Kuhaneck, Russell Kuhaneck and Lester Kuhaneck a nephew Miklas E. Kohut and nieces Yvonne Shongo and Margaret Brown.
Friends are invited to attend a funeral service on Monday April 18, 2005 at the Casey, Halwig & Hartle Funeral Home, 3128 West State Rd., Olean at 11:00 AM. Rev. Mark C. Schultz, great great nephew of Mrs. Willsey will officiate. Burial will be in Allegany Cemetery, Allegany. Memorials may be made to Homecare and Hospice, 1225 West State St., Olean, NY or to a charity of the donor's choice. .
