Obituary of Irene Kolkowski

Irene Adami Hansel Kolkowski Olean – Irene Adami Hansel Kolkowski, formerly of Olean died Tuesday July 19, 2005 at the Waters of Salamanca. Born in Heilwood, PA on January 8, 1910 she was a daughter of Paul and Nina Marangoni Adami. She married Russell Hansel who died in 1951. On June 8, 1957 in Allegany she married Michael Kolkowski who predeceased her in 1991. Mrs. Kolkowski was employed for many years at St. Francis Hospital, retiring in 1975. She was a member of the Pulaski Club, Eagles Club, St. Stephen's Club, the Elks Lodge and the Moose Club. Irene loved playing Bingo. She is survived by a son Robert R. (Carol) Hansel of Allegany; a step daughter Barbara (Hoagie) Peterson of Houston, TX; five grandchildren and four great grandchildren. In addition to her husbands she was predeceased by sons Donald A. Hansel and Ernie Hansel, a sister Mary Ranallo and a brother Aldo Adami. There will be no public visitations. Private funeral services were held at Casey, Halwig & Hartle Funeral Home, 3128 West State Rd., Olean. Burial was in St. Bonaventure Cemetery. Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
