Obituary of Rebecca H. Wetherby

Rebecca H. Wetherby Olean – Rebecca H. Wetherby of Genesee Street died Friday November 18, 2005 at her residence following a long illness. Born in Olean on February 1, 1943 she was the daughter of Norton L and Nellie Hazel Kidd Moore. Rebecca was self employed as a private duty CNA for many years. She was a member of Christ United Methodist Church. Ms. Wetherby enjoyed many different crafts, especially crocheting and floral arrangement. She is survived by one son Kendall Wetherby of Olean; three daughters Virginia "Ginny" (Steven) Cox of Little Genesee, NY, Lisa K. (Douglas) Perry of Limestoine, NY and Theresa (Frank) Benjamin of Fork Union, VA; seven grandchildren and one great grandchild. She was predeceased by both parents. Friends will be received at the Casey, Halwig & Hartle Funeral Home, 3128 West State Rd., Olean on Monday November 21, 2005 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at which time funeral and committal services will be conducted. Rev. Paul Cauvel will officiate. Burial will be in Pleasant Valley Cemetery. Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
